Aviva’s secure host access and application integration solutions strengthen Scanpak’s product line and open the door to new opportunities

Montreal, Canada, July 10, 2002 Scanpak Inc., a worldwide provider of industry-leading data collection and asset management solutions, today announced the acquisition of Aviva. Aviva’s software solutions allow customers secure host access and unobtrusive integration of host-based data into new or existing applications and databases. Scanpak, an industry leader in Wireless Networks, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Systems and Barcode Solutions, will now be able to offer host access and application integration solutions to its customers through its new Aviva division.

The Aviva division of Scanpak will play a strategic role to strengthen the solutions offered by Scanpak today and open up new revenue potential in the host access and application integration market.
